It has industrial applications in condensers, and mica insulation plates are used as electrical and temperature insulation of electrical resistors and transistors.
Mica is also processed into micanite, a plate material that consists of 90% mica powder and 10% synthetic resin binder. This synthetic mica has a high dielectric resistance
